The Whitpain Walkers is a weekly walking club that meets at various walking trails in the area. This program is ideal for individuals who want to walk with others, begin and/or continue a walking routine, discover great walking trails nearby, or are just looking for something new to do during the day! The walking club is a non-competitive group that encourages healthy lifestyles, exercise, being in nature, and socializing with others. Whitpain Walkers will meet Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30am. Come when you can!This program is for adults 18+ and open to all levels and abilities. Leashed (friendly!) dogs permitted on most walks, unless otherwise stated.An email is sent to registered participants Monday or Tuesday each week detailing the exact meeting location for that particular week. Please make sure you "opt-in" to receive general email announcements from the parks and rec department.

This camp will focus on learning new skills, games, strategies, and good sportsmanship. Campers will participate in a variety of fun games and activities which will help them develop the fundamentals of the game of basketball!  All campers will receive an i9 Sports participation shirt during the first session, snacks, and trophies will be given out on the last day of camp during our end of week celebration!

This class and workshop will walk you through everything step-by-step and give easy, simple, and affordable tips and tricks that anyone can do with essential oils.  Gear up for a fast-paced, ground-up lecture on everything oils, and have some fun and pampering in the process as you make your own essential oil products for you to take home and enjoy. For Essential Oil newcomers and veterans alike, this workshop will focus on the benefits of Essential Oils and how to scent and clean your home without the use of products full of toxic chemicals.  We will begin with a brief introduction to Essential Oils and Plant-based products.  Then we will get our hands dirty creating several products for you and your home - Thieves household cleaner, room/linen/body sprays, reed diffusers and a roller of your choice.  Come on out and fall in love with the amazing aromas and benefits of Essentials Oils and plant-based products!Instructor: Dianne Krause

Spring Break has never been this much FUN! Mad Science Theme: Secret Agent LabLook out 007- the Mad Science Secret Agent Lab is in session!  From decoding messages to experimenting with metal detectors and night vision, children will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and step into the shoes of a detective!  Children will uncover the science involved in gathering and analyzing evidence and the technology behind locks, surveillance systems and alarms.  To test the limits of magnified observation, junior science sleuths will build their own binoculars and develop ways to work together to refine their observation skills.  Campers will use what they have learned as they find, collect, and analyze evidence and connect the dots to solve a simulated crime scene!  Mad Science Spy Camp is 00-Awesome!
