About the Council
Established in 2022, The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) assists and advises the Board of Supervisors and the Township Manager on various environmental topics. The EAC collaborates with other Whitpain Township committees as well as local organizations to promote a variety of community environmental programs and provide education that encourages sustainable practices in our community.

Rain Barrel Workshop
Whitpain EAC Rain Barrel Workshop is led by Erin Crump, Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward. Discover the benefits of installing a rain barrel on your property, from conserving water to controlling stormwater and nurturing your lawn and garden During the workshop, we will discuss stormwater management, best practices for homeowners, the anatomy of a rain barrel, maintenance tips, and installation techniques.
Program Details
Program fee includes a fully assembled 58-gallon Camels Hump Rain Barrel, a retail value of $100. Participants must be able to transport a fully assembled rain barrel in their vehicle at the conclusion of the event.
